About me

I am a woodworker and I’m passionate about it … I dabble in just about anything dealing with woodworking … (furniture, small projects, turning, carving, scrollsaw … ). I am, what I consider, “good” at some things and have a lot to learn on other. I don’t think anyone will ever know all there is to know about woodworking. I am always looking for something new to learn in the craft.

I make my living working on Databases and Servers, and have a side business doing the same. I have helped a lot of people and businesses with a variety of technical issues over the years. I truly enjoy helping people with things they don’t know how to fix. So,this is a good way for me to record what I do in the shop and elsewhere in regards to woodworking, and try to help some people along the way …

About the Site

I started the site intending to focus on woodworking in the Midwest and the events, places, classes, guilds, projects, and woodworkers in that area. But, after a year of doing post and podcasts I didn’t want to limit it to just that. Seeing I live in Wisconsin many of the happenings and resources I cover will be in the Midwest. But, there is so much out there I am happy to talk with and help people from anywhere. That way, anyone can join or benefit from the site. Everyone is welcome and it’s free.

The site includes a forum, events calendars, integrated chat, and a user submission form (to show off your work or your shop), Live Streaming (Usually months), Links, and …

There is a monthly podcasts, monthly live cast, and monthly book/DVD review and give away, Usually it’s based on the “theme” for the month. There is also an optional newsletter …

And hopefully … More to come …
